Creating poems inspired by Dylan and nature with Ffion Jones
Saturday 21 March,
2pm to 4pm
Ideal for 8-12 year olds, but all ages and abilities welcome
Dylan Thomas wrote about nature in beautiful and sometimes amusing ways, and you can find some of the animals and birds he wrote about in Swansea Museum! Would you like to come to the Museum, see its Natural History Collection, and write/make some poems with us? You can use your favourite animals, places, colours, landscapes, and people as inspiration too. We can play games, have fun and you can leave with your very own poem at the end of it.
Please book your free place here: https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/dylanthomas
Adults are welcome to join in with their child! Under 8s must be accompanied by an adult.
Ffion Jones is a Creative Practitioner from Swansea with a background in creative writing, performing arts and therapeutic practices.
This workshop is part of a Welsh Government funded partnership project between the Dylan Thomas Centre and Swansea Museum, which explores natural history through Dylan Thomas’ writing.

Have you tried our mouse trail?
We have 22 mice hidden around our museum. It is quite a challenge to find them all – will you become an expert mouse hunter?

Make sure to check out the RISW, who provide a regular program of lectures on a wide variety of subjects.
The RISW, or Royal Institution of South Wales, are the friends of the museum.
