Free Digital Guide

Swansea Museum now has a free digital guide on the Bloomberg Connects App. The Bloomberg Connects app allows museums and galleries from around the world to digitally share their collections and content. You do not even have to visit the museum to enjoy the app, you can browse the collections at home as well. You don’t need to download the app to see our content, you can try the browser version of our app by clicking here.

Three portrait photographs with an photo of a carved wooden devil in the middle and screen shots of the Swansea Museum Bloomberg connects guide either side. To the right of the images is the logo for Bloomberg Connects and a QR code below for downloading the app.
At the museum, use our Wi-Fi to download the app now: Swansea Council Free Wi-Fi

Our guide is designed to provide you with easy access to Swansea Museum’s collections and exhibitions. This app provides in-depth information about our collections that we aren’t always able to provide in our displays.

Once you have downloaded the app, it is easy to find us. If you are in Swansea and your device’s location is on, then Swansea Museum will be at the top of the list of cultural venues. If you do not use your location or you are currently not in Swansea, you can simply search for ‘Swansea Museum’ in the search bar at the top. Select ‘Swansea Museum’ and then select ‘Start Guide’. Now you can start browsing through the collections at your leisure.

When using the guide in the museum, make sure to make use of the ‘show on map’ feature to easily locate collections on display. We will also have lookup number and QR codes around the museum that can provide additional information about items on display.

This guide will be frequently updated with new objects, new tours, and new media. If you would like to stay up to date with new content and the latest news, make sure to favourite Swansea Museum by selecting the heart icon. If you have comments or suggestions for the guide, please let us know.
